From the menu
Three tastes of what we call a dining experience: not portions, but choices.

The produce is not negotiable
The fish arrives in the morning, not on Monday for the whole week. The Wagyu is certified Kagoshima A5, a mark few in Italy use because few can truly afford it. If a cut does not convince the people working it in the kitchen, it does not go on the menu that day.
It is a way of working that remains rare in Japanese cooking in Tuscany: fewer fixed dishes, more decisions taken every morning in front of the catch. Nami's à la carte kitchen was born from this constraint, not from a trend.

An experience to discover
From the cut of the fish to the Wagyu on the grill, from the room to the lights: every detail tells the same approach.

Pietrasanta, Forte dei Marmi and all of Versilia
Nami is a Japanese restaurant in the historic centre of Pietrasanta. From Forte dei Marmi it takes a few minutes by car, and the same goes for Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta and Viareggio. Versilia has always had a public used to moving between the towns along the coast to eat well, and anyone looking for sushi in Versilia knows it: Nami is a fixed point within reach of the whole area, not only of those living in the centre of Pietrasanta.
À la carte or All You Can Eat
Nami's Japanese cooking in Pietrasanta lives above all in the à la carte formula: dishes chosen one by one, cooked and plated to order. At every service we also offer an All You Can Eat option, with rounds of dishes every ten minutes, for those who specifically want it. They are two different experiences: one follows the rhythm of the single dish, the other that of the continuous round.
What people ask most often
Where is Nami, the Japanese restaurant in Pietrasanta?
Nami is in Corte Bonci, Piazza della Repubblica 3, in the historic centre of Pietrasanta, a few steps from the Duomo. The dining room is small, designed for attentive service rather than large numbers. Pietrasanta is in the heart of Versilia, minutes from Forte dei Marmi, Camaiore and Viareggio.
Is Nami an à la carte restaurant or an All You Can Eat?
Nami is above all an à la carte kitchen: dishes chosen one by one, meant to be savoured one at a time. An All You Can Eat option is also available at every service, with rounds every ten minutes, for those who specifically want it: at dinner on every opening day, at lunch on Saturday and Sunday. All You Can Eat dishes and rules →
What is the Kagoshima A5 Wagyu on the menu?
Kagoshima A5 Wagyu is a certified grade of Japanese beef, recognised for its marbling and for the top quality mark, A5. At Nami it arrives in small quantities and is grilled over charcoal, one piece at a time, with no sauces covering its flavour.
Is the fish served at Nami fresh every day?
Yes. Nami does not keep a week's stock of fish: the produce arrives in the morning and is worked the same day. It is a choice that reduces the variety available on some evenings, but guarantees that every sashimi is cut from fish that arrived that day.
What are Nami's opening hours in Pietrasanta?
Dinner is served Tuesday to Sunday from 7 pm. Lunch is available on Saturday and Sunday, from 12 pm to 3 pm. The restaurant is closed on Monday, with one exception: in August Nami also opens on Monday evenings for the summer season.
How do I book a table at Nami?
You can book by phone at +39 0584 331485 or by writing on WhatsApp to the same number. An online booking form is also available on the site. At weekends, with a small dining room, booking ahead is recommended.
Is Nami convenient from Forte dei Marmi or other parts of Versilia?
Yes. Nami is in Pietrasanta but serves the whole of Versilia: from Forte dei Marmi it is a few minutes by car, as it is from Camaiore, Marina di Pietrasanta and Viareggio. The pedestrian historic centre makes it an easy stop for those coming from out of town for dinner.
What is the difference between sushi and sashimi on Nami's menu?
Sashimi is raw fish cut into slices, without rice, served to appreciate the produce in its most essential form. Sushi, including nigiri and gunkanmaki, pairs the fish with vinegared rice. Nami offers both as separate courses on the menu.
